Daryl is an internationally experienced senior executive with a proven record of leading operational and cultural transformations across a variety of automotive related businesses.
Most recently, Daryl was the Human Resources Vice President for Ford Australia & New Zealand with overall responsibility for Safety, Fire & Security as well as both strategic and operational HR business partnering, labour relations, talent acquisition & development. Prior experience has included nine years in China performing a number of senior executive roles such as Asia Pacific lead for Talent Acquisition & Development, China HR Director of the Changan Ford Joint Venture and China HR Director of the Nanjing based Ford Research & Engineering Centre as well as a broad variety of Australian based HR leadership experience in Labour Relations, HR Business Partnering as well as Learning & Development.
Daryl has a passion for partnering with senior business leaders to develop and implement change management that delivers better business outcomes and positive cultural shifts – A practical example of this has been the recent Health & Wellness “Flourish” project that has exceeded expectations in promoting and supporting positive mental health in the workplace. Other “Future of Work” people initiatives have been in re-defining Safety in a post-manufacturing workplace, implementation of Family Violence Leave, as well as the negotiation of modernised enterprise bargaining outcomes.
Daryl also has business acquisition experience in both Australia and China as well as both greenfield business development and brownfield modernisation/organisation change.
Daryl has an MBA as well as qualifications in Mental Health First Aid, Executive Coaching and Mediation/Conflict Resolution. He is a one-eyed supporter of the Geelong Cats, loves fishing, surfing, stand-up paddle boarding and enjoys time with his family.
