Clea Vazquez is an experienced risk and governance professional with more than a decade of leadership experience in audit, enterprise risk management, compliance, integrated management systems and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy. She has worked across a diverse range of industries including retail, education, security and facilities services, helping organisations strengthen governance, improve operational performance and build resilient, people centred management systems.
As Head of Risk Management for BIC Consolidated, part of the global Bidvest Group, Clea lead the organisation’s enterprise risk, audit and compliance functions. She was responsible for developing and implementing strategic risk frameworks, leading integrated governance programs, chairing the Risk Working Group and providing risk and assurance advice to Executive Management and the Board of Directors.
Clea is a qualified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems. She has extensive experience in developing integrated management systems, conducting assurance and compliance audits, facilitating risk assessments, leading investigations and supporting organisations to achieve continual improvement through practical and sustainable governance solutions.
Her expertise extends beyond traditional health and safety into enterprise risk, ESG governance, human rights due diligence and responsible business practices. Clea currently serves on the United Nations Global Compact Network Australia (UNGCNA) Modern Slavery Community of Practice and is one of only a small number of members nationally appointed to the UNGCNA Business and Human Rights Technical Advisory Group. She has also led the implementation of a Human Rights Action Plan through the UNGCNA Business and Human Rights Accelerator Program, embedding internationally recognised principles into organisational governance and operational practice.
Clea has particular expertise in psychosocial risk management, occupational violence prevention, organisational culture, wellbeing initiatives and developing practical systems that place people at the centre of business performance. She works closely with executive leadership teams to improve governance, strengthen organisational resilience and deliver measurable improvements in compliance, safety and operational effectiveness.
